Jane Seguin, 45 years old lives in SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. Jane was born in Toledo, Ohio. She is a photographer, an artist, and a visual media designer.

Jan. 30 - Fort Greene - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Dirk Setton, 38 years old was born in Colon, Germany. Dirk, is a Phd in philosophy. Technically he is my first doctor. He is teaching at the New School in Manhattan till the end of spring semester.

Jan. 29 - Clinton Hill - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Julie Diller, is 49 years old. Julie designs fabrics and clothing. For this photo, she is standing in an area in her work studio which is under construction. Julie lives with her family in Brooklyn.

Jan. 28 - Brooklyn Heights - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Ash Sabet, 32 years old, lives and works in Brooklyn. He was born in Iran and grow up in Vancouver, Canada. Ash speaks French and Farsi. He writes computer codes and runs his own company. Ash likes walking.

Jan. 27 - Upper West Side - New York, NY, USA

Jeff Kravitz, 37 years old, was born on Long Island and lives in Manhattan. He plays guitar, speaks Spanish and German, takes pictures as a hobby, and makes a living as a computer techie.

Jan. 26 - Prospect Heights - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Mallory Shure, 39, is my wife. She usually assists me with the lights so I miss her help. I could not schedule an appointment today. It was just one of those days, hence, going with a sure thing! I love her.

Jan. 25 - Prospect Heights - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Satchel Shure is 6 years old and lives downstairs from me. He is one of MNNNs. Satchel was named after the right handed black baseball player, Satchel Paige, who played in the majors in the 40's. Satchel likes super heroes, Pokemon, and his scooter. He is good at doing his homework, and loves baking with his mom.

Jan. 24 - Williamsburg - Brooklyn, NY, USA

India Richer, 39 year old artist lives in Brooklyn. She is probably the only subject that I will ever shoot named after a country. She paints, draws and takes pictures too.

Jan. 23 - West Village - New York, NY, USA

Laura Hyman, 41 years, was born in Philadelphia and lived in California. She now lives in Manhattan and celebrated her birthday with fresh Dungeness crabs today.

Jan. 22 - Prospect Heights - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Dean Bogner is 6 and 1/2 years old. He is the youngest person I have photographed for this project. He was a great model until the other kids showed up. Dean and his parents live in Park Slope. He has two older half brothers.

Jan. 20 - Times Square - New York, NY, USA

Bridget Cagney, 71 years old, lives in Queens. She was waving an American flag in Times Square as Barack Obama became the first African-American president in the history of the United States. She was born in Ireland and still has that Irish smile. Bridget wore a pin that had a picture of JFK and Obama. She told me how proud she was to be an American in this day in our times.

Jan. 19 - Upper West Side - New York, NY, USA

Siraporn Bv Chimapan, also known as "Sunny", is 65 years. Sunny lives in New York now but she was born in Siam, Thailand. I photographed her at a soup kitchen helping to feed to homeless on Marthin Luther King day. Not one of my best pictures, but for sure a cute subject.

Jan. 18 - Battery Park City - New York, NY, USA

Grigorij Richters, 21 years old, from Hamburg, Germany, now living in New York City. Grigorij, trains his camera on the Hudson River. For the past 3 days and nights, the young film maker had the front row seat to the recovery of the US Airways Airbus A320, which made an emergency landing in the Hudson River. The plane came to rest down the river right across his apartment in Lower Manhattan.

Jan. 17 - Prospect Heights - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Chester Simon Dubov, 16 years old, is a friend of MNNN (see Jan. 16th). Chester was born in California, has lived in a few states and now lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Chester and I spent a few days in Sag Harbor this past summer.

Theodora Shure, 15 years old, is one of MNNNs. Theodora who goes by Theo is a regular visitor to Brooklyn. Theo lives in Seattle and is in town for a sweet sixteen party.

Jan. 15 - Village - New York, NY, USA

Alex Motamed, 39, is a German-Iranian American. He lives in Astoria, Queens, but he is a cool guy. He recently got married and like myself, Alex is in no hurry to find a job.

Jan. 14 - Dumbo - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Scout Tufankian, 31, is a Brooklyn based photographer. She is posing with her first photography book tilted "Yes We Can," about Barack Obama's campaign. Scout followed Obama as a freelancer all the way from Springfield, IL in February of 2007, when he announced his intention to run, and to Chicago in November of 2008, when he became the president-elect. I like Scout, even though she is a Red Sox fan!

Jan. 13 - Upper East Side - New York, NY, USA

Hava Gurevich, a 42 year old artist from the Upper East Side. Gurevich brought two cell phones, as she needed to be in touch. Something to do with Ansel Adams' estate. She didn't think being the 13th subject was a bad thing.

Jan. 12 - Chinatown - New York, NY, USA

Lu Evers, 56 years old, plays his saxophone at the Canal Street subway station. Lu has been seen playing saxophone or clarinet at this spot for a few years now.

Jan. 11 - Midtown - New York, NY, USA

Mike Lee, 25 years old, from Texas, is a professional bull rider. He is the 2004 Professional Bull Riders' world champion. As a pro bull rider, he has earned $2,564,368.02. Lee was photographed in the Madison Square Garden.

Jan. 10 - The Village - New York, NY, USA

Rizvan Gurmu, 35 years old, originally from Eritrea, she now lives with her husband in Jersey City.

Jan. 9 - Downtown - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Jeff Thimm, 23, from Tirana, Albania is visiting his brother. Jeff is German-American, has lived in Haiti, and is into agriculture.

Stacey Murphy, 35 years old, lives next to the East River. Originally from the Motor City, she used to test drive cars.

Jan. 7 - Park Slope - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Jen Frew, 41 years old is a Park Slope mom. She will soon be able to play chess with Madeline.

Jan. 6 - Midtown Manhattan - New York, NY, USA

Paul Kosene, will be 87 years old next month. A former newspaper man from New Jersey. He wrote for a Florida paper. He lives downstairs from Romi.

Jason Shure, 41 years old born in Ann Arbor, Michigan now lives in Brooklyn. He can solve the Rubik's Cube in less than a minute, but he was not my January 5th choice.

Elizabeth Sabet, 30 years old, from Brooklyn Heights. A former blond, but no more walking for her.

Robert Blake, 72 years old from Queens. He is known as uncle Bob to many people.

Jan. 2 - Bryant Park - Manhattan, NY, USA

Bouchta Ibrahimi, 48 year old, from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was on vacation sitting in a park chair smoking a Hoyo de Monterrey, a very famous Cuban cigar when I approached him. Snow was lightly coming down as he watched his kids skate in the Bryant Park skating rink. He said his name, Bouchta means "the maker of the rain." He is orginally from Morocco.

Jan. 1 - Coney Island - Brooklyn, NY, USA

Rikayo Horimizu, 38 years old, originally from Japan living in Brooklyn jumped into the sub freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean for the 3rd time during the annual Coney Island Polar Bear club swim on the first day of new year. Rikayo said "it is fun and exciting to jump into the ocean, you totally feel cleansed by the cold water."

Russell Rodin, 27 year old, from Brooklyn said "I wanted to prove something to yourself to show that your body could do it." "It is really mind over matter" he continued.
